As stated before, Sarah Small’s photographs blew me away. They were a clear expression of ambitious thought which has evolved into Tableau Vivant, operatic-like theatre which combines 120, mostly nude, models and musicians with audacity.

This afternoon, Sarah Small captured me with her photographic contrasts; animal versus man, youth versus age, colour versus colour, sexuality versus asexuality. Her use of nudity is refreshing to say the very least.
In her words, “The Delirium Constructions is an ongoing body of work exploring disassociated themes and characters brought together into the same space. I bring models into improbable, close interactions to examine the social and graphic contrasts of youth and experience, hysteria and discipline, tragedy and hilarity, and sexuality and desexualization.”
I offer only a small sampling below. There’s much more on her website. – i strongly suggest that you lovers of creativity, surrealism and alternate beauty spend your next hour there. Thereafter, you’ll want to visit her Living Picture Project whose opening bow utilized 120 models and musicians.

These amazing photos of the Japanese Tsunami are admittedly stolen off the internet but this tragedy is too big to ignore…especially because most people i’ve met don’t really care (the world became so desensitized since 9/11). Some of the best come from media via the services of Reuters so support them whilst keeping yourself informed of the latest developments in Japan. You can also get the main tsunami facts and the best tsunami videos on this blog.
Taking a break from politics, noseless women and death poetry today to show you some of my favourite shots from the past week. The Garden Route of South Africa never fails to capture my breath in a way i can never capture it. Home is so goddamn, utterly beautiful! From rivers and mountains to seagulls and a tortoise, enjoy these photos featuring The Crags, Keurbooms, Plettenberg Bay and Wilderness:
