I had the wonderful experience of taking a busload of kids to the Knysna Elephant Park yesterday. The day began with some of the volunteers meeting me at home at 8am. Within minutes, the rain stopped and the sky cleared into blue. A carload of kids were coming from Hornlee but we had to take a bus to fetch the majority from Judah Square, the Rasta ‘village’ of Knysna. The kids were already ecstatic. At the elephant park, they were scared, then charmed and then overawed by these gentle creatures.
I’ll be posting the good photos at Love Knysna Projects and Love Knysna! during the week but, rather than wait, i decided to post my amateur shots of our fab day here.
