The Dandy Warhols – This Machine (review)

They’ve loved by underground poppers. Their individual songs may not be sensational (maybe as much a deliberate choice as their avoidance of Billboard fodder) but there’s an overall, alternate reliability to their albums. This Machine maintains that respect.

As pretty as the guitar and owl in the wilderness cover is, i don’t understand its relevance. Seems so folky. Then again, the sky isn’t blue so what do i know? Reality is different for everyone. The music’s more understandable. “You can beg but I’ll never stay,” sings opener, ‘Sad Vacation’. Continue reading
