The Music Videos of Tim Pope

Thanks to Amanda Palmer’s new album, Theatre is Evil, , i was reminded of TIM POPE who created the video for her song ‘The Killing Type’.

Tim PopeTim became a landmark music video creator in the Eighties. He’s still making them (James, Kaiser Chiefs, The Darkness, Live) but i find him especially notable for his work with classic bands such as Talk Talk, Soft Cell, The Cars, , Neil Young, Siouxsie and the Banshees and many more. And, within that, the biggest is the 37 videos for the first band i ever loved, The Cure. The Cure even backed him on his own song, and sole minor hit, ‘I Want to Be a Tree’.
