Old Lady, Karen Klein, Bullied by School Kids

Damnit! Another appalling YouTube video goes viral. Appalling because of the content, not because the video should be stopped. The only way to remotely have a chance at stopping bad things is to admit that they exist!

68 year old, Karen Klein, is a school bus monitor in New York. 12 and 13 year olds viciously taunt her; mocking her for being poor and fat, threatening to piss on her lawn, stab her and cum in her mouth! Maybe worst of all is one kid saying her family killed themselves to get away from her, bad because her son committed suicide 10 years ago.

I’ve made comments about this Playstation generation before. Psychologically retarded youth are a growing population.I don’t care so much if they run the gamut of normal experimental development such as sex and beer. Everyone goes through that. What is more important to me is that they eventually discover who they are and treat everyone as they wish to be treated. Instead, so many may be lost forever, growing into callous adults who devolve the world and our lives.

It’s easy to attack the parents. A societal problem may be rising costs forcing both parents to work under stressful conditions but the pursuit of materialism is the greater crime. I’ve met instances where the child would be better off if one or both of their parents never existed. The parents should be punished but this doesn’t excuse the child!Never a first resort but some crimes deserve a damn good hiding. I remember what it was like to be young. I was an unhappy child. I hated my mother. But i never ever would have bullied someone like this. Even as a child, we know right from wrong. Sure, peer group influence is at it strongest whilst we try to fit in so the easiest way to choose the better path is to choose who we keep company with. Bullies beget bullies.

And let me not insinuate that a whole generation is evil. There are good kids everywhere too. Here on some of their YouTube responses (although it’s “interesting” that it’s mostly girls responding – where are the budding gentlemen?):

PS: The silver, over-inflated silver lining is that a fund set up to send Karen on a much deserved holiday has ballooned to near half a million dollars. I wonder if that would have happened if she had given those horrible kids the slap that they have deserved. Public response is rare proportionate or appropriate.
