Of Meg Myers’ 3 releases, the Make A Shadow E.P. is my favourite. Here she found the perfect place between pop and hard rock. It’s her at her most unique, surprisingly and thankfully allowed allowed by Atlantic Records, the label she’d just signed to. It’s easy to understand why people hear the contrasts of Fiona Apple and Marilyn Manson in her music. It’s no surprise that she cites influences as wide as Fleetwood Mac and Nine Inch Nails. As a teenager, Meg Myers played in a grunge band with her brother. When she was 19, she left the band and Nashville to seek a career in the LA music industry. It was a tough start but after a few years she met producer/songwriter Doctor Rosen Rosen. The result, on March 2012, was the Daughter in the Choir E.P..
